[Left: Max pregnancy at 32 weeks, Right: this pregnancy at 34 weeks]
After I posted the silhouette last week my guy was inspired to recreate the same shot but at our house this time instead of in a studio. Having these identical side by side shots feels so special, especially since I thought there was no way we could recreate them without a studio. I imagine they will only become more special as time passes. I can see them framed on the wall when my babies are all grown up with babies of there own.
You can definitely see that the baby has dropped by looking at the picture on the right. Instead of the round bulge under the bust line you see ribs. Max didn't drop until week 38. Even though this baby has been measuring ahead of Max in the percentiles, the bump looks smaller (again because of positioning). Other than having longer hair and weighing a few pounds less this time I don't see a difference between my "two bodies". This somehow made me even more confident that we'll go to term.
How we took the shot (+ how you can take one of your own)
I sat on our dining table in front of a white wall. We positioned two strobes facing the wall behind me using ISO - 100, f-stop - 22, shutter speed - 1/80. If you don't happen to be a pro photographer with a bunch of strobes, you can still do this shot by sitting on a table in front of a window that gets nice light and using similar camera settings.
